Face-to-face assessment versus tele-assessment of chronic stroke patients: do the results meet the needs?

Aim: Baseline evaluation of stroke patients is valuable to manage the treatment plan. As in case and rehabilitation, every aspect healthcare, tele-medicine growing gradually. The aim this descriptive study was explore whether initial tele-assessment chronic similar face-to-face assessment terms clinical scales. Material Method: Thirty-four (mean post-stroke duration 21.44±15.47 months; etiology, 58.8% ischemic; hemiplegic side, 52.9% left; mean age 49.24±12.51; 22 males; 12 females) were included trial. Firstly, all evaluated online, then at same day they by scales including chair stand test, Berg balance scale, Stroke specific quality life Motricity index. Results: findings present revealed that there no statistically significant difference between for (p>0.05) except test time stand: 9.41 secs vs 8.94 respectively; p<0.013). Conclusion: authors think could be performed conclusively as well since used trial gross motor functional tests. These preliminary results may suggest a convenient tool order ameliorate continuous care without disruption location.
